How to Use Zoom Filters on Desktop and iPad
Turn Zoom filters on or off on desktop and iPad, find the beauty filter, and fix missing effects. Then use OBS for live face swap or Restyle on Windows.

To turn on Zoom filters on a computer, open Zoom Workplace and go to Settings → Video & effects → Video filters. On iPad, open More → Settings → Meetings, then find Background & effects under Video. Choose a filter to apply it, or select None in the same tab to remove it.
How to turn Zoom filters on or off on desktop
- Sign in to Zoom Workplace on Windows or Mac. Click your profile picture, then choose Settings → Video & effects → Video filters.
- Select a color effect, frame, or sticker and check the camera preview. Turn on Apply to all future meetings if you want to keep the filter for future calls.
- During a meeting, use the arrow beside the video button and choose Choose Video Filter. To remove a filter, return to Video filters and select None. If you previously saved the effect for future meetings, check that the preview is clear before your next call.

Why are Zoom filters not showing?
- Check the app and sign-in. If you joined from a browser, try the installed Zoom Workplace app. Sign in, update the app, and follow the menu path for your device.
- Check which option is missing. iPad supports video filters on eligible models. Zoom lists iPad (2017) or later for this feature, while Studio Effects are available on supported computers. If the preview itself is blank, turn on video and check the app's camera permission.
- Check account settings. If Video filters is still missing or unavailable, ask your work or school Zoom administrator to check the setting. Availability can vary by account type and region. Zoom filter requirements
How to use live face swap or Restyle in Zoom with OBS on Windows
Live Face Swap generates the result in your browser. OBS captures that view and sends it to Zoom as a virtual camera. Use Zoom's audio settings to select your microphone separately.
- Generate the result. Open the Live Face Swap workspace in a dedicated browser window. Select Face Swap for a reference face you have permission to use, or Restyle for a look such as an illustration. Sign in, open the camera preview, and start generation when ready. Live generation uses credits.
- Capture the result in OBS. Add Window Capture, choose the browser window, and crop the source so only the processed video is visible. Check that the original camera inset and page controls are outside the crop. The Windows OBS setup guide shows how to crop and make a short test recording.
- Select the OBS camera in Zoom. Click Start Virtual Camera in OBS. In Zoom, open the camera menu beside the video button and select OBS Virtual Camera. Check the outgoing picture in a private test call and keep the source window open with the workspace visible.
- Stop when finished. Turn off Zoom video, stop the virtual camera in OBS, then end generation in the workspace. Save the recording from the workspace if you want to keep it.
If Zoom still shows your original camera, check which camera Zoom is using and confirm the OBS scene shows the processed result. If OBS is missing from the camera list, start the virtual camera first, then reopen Zoom and check Windows camera permissions. If the picture has two effects applied, clear the Zoom filter or background while checking the OBS feed. Zoom camera selection · OBS Virtual Camera guide
